WELLINGTON SYMPHONY ORCHAESTRA
We had great pleasure in hosting the Wellington Orchaestra at our School on Tuesday. The Orchaestra came in and performed for us at not cost, how amazing is that. All the students enjoyed it immensely. Here are some photo’s to share with you.
It is really good to see that the attendance levels at school are on an increase. We appreciate you sending your children to school everyday. We have adapted our learning topics for a high interest level and have seen the benefits of these. If your child is absent please leave a message on the school phone or text 027 4535 111. If your child is off for 3 or more days please provide a medical Certificate for their absence. We appreciate the communication.
TRANSMISSION GULLY ROADWORKS
With the formation of the new roads being introduced to our community we are teaching our children, and reminding them, about the importance of safety while travelling to and from school. There will be trucks and road works holding up traffic in the near future and we encourage our children to cross the road safely by using the pedestrian crossing.
We would like to remind you that the children are provided with cooked lunches every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Whaea Millie has gratefully accepted the position of head chef to help support us during the term. Thankyou to Whaea Millie who came in on her day off to cook an extra lunch for our Tamariki today.
Due to our cook being away there will be no free hot lunch tomorrow, please make sure you pack some lunch for your child.
As we are supporters of safety around our busy area I would like to remind you that if your child rides their bike to school that they need to wear their helmet. It is the law and as a school we must support and teach children safety first. With all the cars that we have visited and driving around our car parks I would hate to see an incident occur before our eyes.
KO WAI AU
It is a pleasure to welcome back the team from Ko Wai Au? The students are becoming more and more familar about the ways that we cope when under pressure, confronting conflicts and managing our behaviours.
The students have been sharing their fitness skills with Whaea Linda. We appreciate the information that she offers the children and explains why and what is more beneficial for their growing bodies.

We have had to repair too much damage to the school in and out of the buildings. Support our kids and look out for our kura please. Even if you just do a drive by around the mall to check on the school. We appreciate every little bit you do to help.
