We have changed the venue since we are due to experience rain tomorrow. We will be going to H2O Pools in Upper Hutt leaving at 9.15am sharp. Our ETA at the end of the day is 2.45pm. If you are coming along, please meet us there. Unfortunately we have full buses and cannot accommodate for extra people.
PORIRUA CITY CENTRE PLAYGROUND
We would like to advise our Whanau that Ianeta Tinielu has been appointed the Waitangirua Village representative to assist the Mayor Mike Tana in the opening of the new Porirua City Centre Playground on Saturday 16 March at 11am. If you are available come along and celebrate with us.
TEACHER STOP WORK MEETING
School will finish at 2pm on Monday 18 March so that Teachers are able to attend a Stop Work Meeting. Please make arrangements for your children to be picked up on time. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
Please be advised that there will be training/trials on Tuesday afternoon until 4pm and Friday Mornings. We are still looking for coaches as the teachers are helping to run the competition every Saturday. Please help if your child is playing even if you take turns..
Natone Park School is due to have their swimming lessons for the year at the end of this term. We will be commencing in 4 weeks time. Please make arrangements at the office to pay for your child. This will be a daily event for the last 2 weeks of term. If you wish to sell chocolates to help pay off the lessons come and see us at the office.
In 5 weeks time we will be having construction workers on site. We will plan and take every opportunity to make sure that the buildings will be safe for all children, whanau and staff. We will be selling our good windows that are able to be recycled. If you have any queries please come and see us at the office.
Are you interested in what is happening with Natone Park School. We would like to invite all whanau, friends and the community along to our Whanau Engagement Hui on Wednesday 13 March at 5.30pm. Here you will hear the outcomes of the Parent Advisory Hui and what is in store for our kura.

Are you passionate about the education of our children? Would you like to have a say? Would you like to learn about being a parent advisor at Natone Park School? Do you have some beneficial changes in mind for our tamariki? Come along and listen in to the meeting. If you are free on Wednesday 13 March at 1pm we welcome anyone to our hui in the staffroom.
MARAEROA MARAE HEALTH CENTRE
Findlay Siania will be attending our Whanau Hui to present a programme which is on offer to help prevent falls, dangers and keeping kids safe in the home/local community.
At school the students have been sharing their journey stories. Each class is covering different subjects and are enjoying their time together. We invite you to come along and look at your child’s work in the classroom.
Thank you to parents and caregivers for supporting us by encouraging the students to go straight home after school. We have noticed the difference and don’t field so many phone calls..
Thank you to those who ring in to the office to let us know that your child will be absent. We have sent in the numbers of pupils and regular attenders at Natone Park School. Please continue to send your children to school on a regular basis. They cannot learn if they are not present.
WELLINGTON RUGBY HOLIDAY PROGRAMME
The school has received a panui that this will be on offer from Monday 15/4-Thursday 18/4/19 at a cost of $10 per person per day Parents will be required to drop children off to Petone each day. This is a very popular programme. .If you wish to know more, come and see Whaea Ria..
WELLINGTON INDIGENOUS BASKETBALL
Another panui that we have received is that there will be Basketball hui for Y4-8 competing with teams from Hawaii and Australia. This is a comp held outside of school and is run by Basketball coaches from Wellington. If you wish to know more, come and see Whaea Ria..
Wow what a performance! Our students were totally engaged and answering questions without hesitation.. We have a photo of the students in attendance with Duffy and his friends.
Whaea Linda is working in the classrooms talking about Healthy options for our children. They contribute their ideas and feel confident about what they have shared.
Ole Soccer Academy continue to teach our children about team skills, relationship building and ball skills and strategies for planning and problem solving.
Ngake students will be representing Natone Park School in the inter-school cricket tournament on Wednesday 13 March at Cannons Creek Park. This will be a fun filled day working with Wellington Cricket players and learning about game skills and team planning. The day starts at 9.30am and finishes at 2pm.

We have completed our first week of MOVINMarch which is a programme to involve students more in physical activities such as walking or using bikes, scooters, skateboards etc. At Natone Park School we will be participating in daily activities to increase movement. Students will be presented with participation certificates and prizes will be given out. Thank you for supporting us.
