$24 for two children

Early to School
We have noticed that there are a number of students who are arriving to school early in the mornings. It must be a sign of summer coming soon. Can you please make sure that the children don’t arrive earlier than 7.45am as the teachers are not necessarily onsite.
We have been very fortunate to have visitors in our school to observe the work each class is working on. We will be having more visitors next week as well.
Maori Language Week
On 10 September we are planning to take the whole school to Parliament to support Maori Language Week. It would be good to have you come alongside us to help with supervision if you are available. Please let Whaea Miro know at the office.
Natone Park School proudly nominated Tamure Phillips and Te Rito Aperahama
with Leadership Awards which were presented by the Deputy Mayor Izzy Ford and the Rotary Club last Monday. We would like to congratulate the pair who are always endeavouring to perform at their best in every opportunity.
We would like to acknowledge Whataitai and the way that they have been working in the classroom. They are a very organised group of students who can work independently when set to task. Well done everyone.
We have a number of students with truancy issues. These are of grave concern as the child/ren have had an alarming amount of days absent from school. Please encourage your child to come to school everyday to learn and have fun unless they are genuinely sick.
We are still seeking someone to come to school to help make simple lunches for our students. These would include making sandwiches, baked beans on toast, macaroni cheese or cheese on toast. Do you have 1 hour free on a Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. This could be a paid position for someone who is close by. Come in and have a chat with us.
Thankyou to Pounamu Clark’s Nan Whaea Linda for coming in and helping when she can. You are awesome.
Cellphones and devices
Cellphones and devices are discouraged at school as we do not take responsibility if they are lost, damaged or stolen. If, in the event your child brings their cellphone or device to school I would like to encourage you to tell them to leave it at the office with Whaea Miro and they can retrieve it at 2.45pm at the end of the day
